Former Palm Beach Cardinals Shine on All-MiLB Prospect Teams
On September 29, 2025, Minor League Baseball revealed its First and Second All-MiLB Prospect Teams, featuring three standout players from the Palm Beach Cardinals. JJ Wetherholt, the Cardinals' top prospect and a 2024 Palm Beach player, earned first team honors as a second baseman after a stellar season, achieving an impressive .306 batting average, 17 home runs, and 59 RBIs while showcasing exceptional baserunning and plate discipline.
Deniel Ortiz, ranked as the #23 prospect, was recognized as a second team third baseman. Drafted in 2024, he boasted a .300 average and an impressive OPS, earning multiple accolades throughout the season. Lastly, Rainiel Rodriguez, the Cardinals' #4 prospect, secured a spot as a second team designated hitter, hitting 20 home runs and demonstrating powerful slugging across different levels of play.
The Palm Beach Cardinals are set to return for the 2026 season on April 2, 2026, with tickets available for purchase starting January 11.
